Urbino’s countryside in Marche, Italy shows a gentle, hilly landscape where the land rises and falls in smooth waves. Small medieval towns sit on the tops of the hills, surrounded by fields that turn gold in the summer. Thick woods spread across the slopes, offering shade and fresh air, interrupted by several streams joining the two main rivers of the area, the Metauro and the Foglia.
